Having used ISLE in a blended learning context, the corona crises has confronted us with a great challenge as we have to move fully remote at CMU. However, we have a plethora of tools that may foster online learning. We have been working on the Integrated Statistics Learning Environment (ISLE) for the last three years, and it has gotten pretty complex by now, however, it is not a big deal to start with. Here‘s a video that shows you what you can do with it for remote instruction:
- how you can monitor your virtual classroom
- how students can pose questions (to a queue) and interact with each other via chat
- how you can use ISLE as a broadcasting tool for video
- how you can annotate your PDF lectures
- how you can deliver the enriched material to your students
It‘s just twelve minutes. Please reach out if you are interested in seeing whether it might be a good fit for your virtual classroom as well.
